- The shipping fee is calculated based on the country of purchase and the order total before taxes and discounts. Shipments outside of Canada and the USA, may be subject to customs and import duties. Please note these charges are the customers responsibility and would be settled at your local customs office/courier office. The return shipping fee is not refundable.

The Essence of the Gaian Oasis
The term "Oasis" is emblematic of the nurturing, protective role Earth plays in the vast, unforgiving expanse of space. Earth is not just our home; it's our sanctuary. Amidst the cosmic void, our blue planet provides us with water, food, and a protective shield - an atmosphere that keeps us safe from the relentless dangers lurking in space. The essence of Earth is immortalized in this piece by capturing its unique features, which set it apart from the other floating rocks. In the seemingly boundless cosmos, Earth is our unique and precious oasis. Just as an oasis in a desert provides relief to the weary traveler, Earth offers refuge and sustenance to its inhabitants in the midst of the cosmic desert.
We wanted this design to highlight the two distinct yet harmonious sections. On the left, a lustrous high-polished surface with gold ripples reflects Earth's vast and majestic oceans, with the blue topaz gems capturing the iridescent glow of our waters. In contrast, the right showcases a satin finish with raised ridges and intricate canyons, paying homage to the rugged landscapes and majestic mountain ranges that grace our continents.
The Gaian Oasis gleams as it is adorned with five shimmering 1 mm Swiss blue topazes. The electric blue color is reminiscent of the magnificent blue hue we associate with the sea caused by sunlight being scattered by waves. The birthstone for December was thought to store the powers of the Sun God Ra by the ancient Egyptians. The blue topaz is believed to increase compassion, and nurture communication.

Vermeil is the regulated term used to describe gilded silver. It refers to jewelry with a pure sterling silver base covered with a thick layer of solid gold. With a gold plating 5x thicker than average gold plated pieces, gold vermeil is perfect for everyday wear when worn with care.
At Tafein, our pieces are cast with a thick 2.5 micron layer of 18K Gold on 925 Sterling Silver, making it an affordable but durable alternative to solid gold. Featuring a base crafted with a precious metal, the designs are hypoallergenic and nickel-free.
