Shipping and Returns
- The shipping fee is calculated based on the country of purchase and the order total before taxes and discounts. Shipments outside of Canada and the USA, may be subject to customs and import duties. Please note these charges are the customers responsibility and would be settled at your local customs office/courier office. The return shipping fee is not refundable.

The Essence of the Neptunian Vortex
When looking at Neptune through the lens of a telescope, one can see a bright blue orb. In the Neptunian Vortex, we wanted to capture the powerful essence of Neptune, the Roman god of the sea, and the planet that bears his name. Being the farthest planet from the sun in our solar system, it is renowned for its strong winds - the fastest in the solar system - and its large, swirling storm systems. This pendant's design and the very name 'Neptunian Vortex' honor this tumultuous, dynamic nature, with the ‘Vortex’ representing the stormy, windy atmosphere of Neptune.
Craftsmanship & Legacy
This piece is meant to invoke the imagery of strength, power, and the enigmatic, ever-changing depths of the sea and sky, embodying Neptune's regal, mystical aura. During the design process the aim was to capture the frosty spirit of the planet. The use of Rhodium plating on 925 Sterling Silver encapsulates the life of the Icy Giant. This provides the piece with a bright silver finish, with an extra layer of strength and protection to the piece adding to its lifetime. Neptune's Great Dark Spot is represented by the azure aquamarine gem, sitting in the location of the fierce vortex structures on the planet.
The beautiful aquamarine gem echoes the planet's azure color. In Roman folklore, aquamarines have been associated with the Roman God Neptune, whom this planet is named after. Also known as the Sailor Gem and the birthstone for the month of March, aquamarines are thought to bring the bearer happiness, peace, and the power to calm storms.

At Tafein, our pieces are cast with a thick 2.5 micron layer of 18K Gold on 925 Sterling Silver, making it an affordable but durable alternative to solid gold. Featuring a base crafted with a precious metal, the designs are hypoallergenic and nickel-free.
